School of fishing and fish farming in Liepaja. The development of the fish industry has always been a priority for Latvia. That is why, in order to involve the younger generation in the work of the industry, the School of Fishing and Fish farming was opened in Liepaja in 1936. The initiator for creation of this school was president Mr. Karlis Ulmanis, who also donated 500 lats for needs of newly established institution.
